Message to Maine Voters
Jared Golden is a Marine veteran and one of the top ten most bipartisan members of Congress. Golden works with members of both parties to protect jobs and deliver for Mainers. He worked with Senator Susan Collins to get the VA to agree to build an in-patient facility in Maine for struggling veterans.
He helped to negotiate and pass the largest infrastructure package in the last 50 years, he has also helped author and pass a $200 million relief program to help loggers and logging truckers cope with COVID-related economic losses, and he spearheaded a provision to build more ships at Bath Iron Works in the coming years.
Recently, he helped secure over $17 million in federal funding to support Maine’s lobster industry, as well as $1 million in federal funding to expand Northern Maine Community College’s logging operations training program $1 million in federal funding for the state’s community college system to build a mobile welding lab that will bring much-needed workforce training throughout the Second District.
